Third Anniversary 7/21/09

It has been three years today since you passed on. They say time heals all wounds but I disagree. I believe that time makes wounds easier to be with, easier to accept, easier to live with, but it does not heal them completely. A loss like yours leaves a hole that will never be filled...there is an eternal void...and yet finding peace with your absence is possible and I hope that all of your friends and our family are finding more peace and more love and are more open to life because of what you taught us. Thank you for being, for teaching us to embrace life and truly live each day, and thank you for loving us. I miss you so much it literally hurts my soul...I know you are always with us....we love you. I love you Mattie.

Second Annual Fundraiser another HUGE success!

THANK YOU to all those who attended the second annual fundraiser, and those who mailed in contributions. Because of your support, we raised over $5000! We are now able to raise the scholarship amount to $600 for two recipients. We are truly grateful for your continued support.

We want to wish Matt a Happy Birthday. He would have been 30 on February 6th. We miss him sooooo much and wish he was here to celebrate. We know many of you continue to miss Matt everyday. Please continue to add your thoughts to this website.

First Annual Fundraiser a HUGE SUCCESS!!

THANK YOU for making our first fundraiser such a major success! We had over 80 people attend, auctioned off 25 beautiful items, and raised OVER $7000!! WOW....we are overwhelmed by your generosity. Anniversary.....we miss you!

Hard to believe it has been one year today. We all miss and love you.

Thank you North family for creating such an amazing memorial and scholarship award ceremony today. It was a beautiful celebration of Matt's life and we are grateful to each and every one of you for being there. Thank you to the students who spoke during the ceremony. You shared wonderful stories. We are proud of each of you for having the courage to speak in front of so many people and express your emotions openly. It is important that we continue to talk about our feelings surrounding Matt's death as well as other losses you have endured. Please take the time to talk, write, journal, draw, paint, walk, run, and process your emotions. Please reach out to others when you need support. You are not alone. Please keep in touch with us.
